They are in school everyday of the holidays.
Disciplined, determined and dogged in their mission.
They are preparing for their night; a night of show and display of talents.
They marched under the scorching sun; it is good to be young isn't it? You are not afraid of pigmentation and being dark.I do not know what they are going to march about on that night but there must be a story to it.
This one is even more determined. She's sewing a banner; hand-sewn for a night of good cause. Everyday for the last week she and her comrades are at it. They develop many values; patience, responsibility, resilience, cooperation and one-mindedness - all are needed for survival skills.
I casually asked them what they were up to and they demonstrated an act; they said they will put up a special performance.
They have been hoarding sticks and poles at the back of the school; all were taken out for the display of scouting skills; knots, knots, knots ...
What will become of the feature in the end? How is it going to be presented?
I should be able to see the final product by the end of the week.
They are full of energy and enthusiasm. But their energy is put into good use. They learn to stand against challenges and indulge in healthy activities. These are important to develop strong mental skills for the challenges of life ahead. Of late, I have read enough articles of teenagers taking their own lives for not strong enough reasons.Hopefully these children in their involvement in good practices will help them develop skills to withstand the ups and downs of life with the right attitudes and be strong.
So occasionally when you catch the tired out guy stealing naps in between lessons you tend to be less harsh on him.So involved is he in school activities that he doesn't seem to have enough hours to go through each day. I saw his mama carry him for the nine months some 17 years ago.Now he is a big boy and loved by everyone around him for his charisma and friendliness. May he grow up well balanced and ready to charge with bravery.
The balanced ones of the school will somehow be able to go through the challenges of life more positively.
