Another nephew; another wedding... all in Penang again.
It's the wedding bug; a huge one.
It's the wedding bug; a huge one.
This has long been speculated and awaited; it finally came along. Why do men make women wait so long ? No guts?
At Lone Pine, the wedding lunch was exactly what the couple wanted; simple with no fuss and little pomp. Some like the day celebrated with a big bang; others just want it simple.
The bride's mum together with the groom's grandma ; a first encounter.
These are the older Lau girls waiting for guests ...
The bride is beautiful; deep set eyes and has an intelligent disposition; so says the teacher and aunt in law...
This is a good embrace; MIL and DIL . Treat your daughter in law like your biology daughter and you will bound to win her heart. That's the secret of a successful partnership. Be friends.
But where's the groom? As usual he has many tricks up his sleeves...
There you are ! Don't keep the poor bride waiting ; she has waited long enough...
The Chinese must have this ceremony; the tea ceremony. It's an act of respect? position? submission? Some tell me that it is at this occasion you switch mode; you call your in-laws- father and mother... so if there is no tea ceremony; there is no formal address?
Dear daddy is not a pastor; but he is needed to say grace for the food and a prayer for the couple... a privilege.
Uncle Richard, a full time worker for the church sanctified the wedding in a prayer that culminates the Lord's blessings and unction. What God put together let no man put asunder...
To Caleb, appreciate and love your wife. To Shireen, may you find the love of your life a fulfillment to your dreams and prayers.
God Bless Them.
